Just Because I Love Animals Doesn't Mean I Don't Miss the Taste of a Burger from Time to Tim

Plant based "animal protein like" products are hitting the market, fast food chains, and restaurants. Many non-vegetarians are trying these options. Back in August, KFC, tested using beyond meat chicken. They had a line out the door and around the corner and they sold out in 5 hours. In just the last few weeks, Senator Deb Fischer (R-NE) — who is also a cattle rancher — recently introduced the Real MEAT Act. The bill would put new labeling requirements on fake meat products. Is anyone who is consuming these really think they are buying animal protein? They are all labeled plant based protein. Today, I saw an article that had the scientific backing of South Dakota Veterinarian, Dr. James Stangle. His claim was that the Impossible Burger has 18 million times as much estrogen than the regular whopper and that consuming only 4 a day could cause a man to grow breasts. Here's the last line of his article:
So when you watch the next Burger King commercial and you see the guy dressed as a cowboy eating an impossible whopper saying, “Well, I’m a darn fool”. “Just say, yep!” There is another word for really big lie. It is called a whopper. Here’s to hoping that the impossible whopper is a possible flopper."
He's a veterinarian! Not that the credentials of being a veterinarian aren't something to be proud of but NOT when I am looking for nutritional science information. He's a vet in South Dakota (meat country) and this was originally published in a publication called Tri State Livestock News. Consumption of this publication is specifically for cattle ranchers! It only takes a minute to see where his bread is buttered and that this article is a clear conflict of interest. Beyond that the soy/men breast theory has been debunked through actual science AND lastly, just leave the plant based meat products alone. No one thinks they are eating healthy while eating them. We know they are not whole products and made in a lab. We are not eating 4 of them a day. They are a nice alternative for vegans and vegetarians alike when we are out with others at a food establishments. I love animals and it's the reason I don't eat them. It has nothing to do with the fact that I didn't love the taste of a burger back in the day. I CHOOSE not to eat them because it is not in my moral code.
The cattle industry is scared. I love it!
