The Power of Vitality Essential Oils

My Young Living Starter Kit came with a small set of Vitality oils. These are oils that are safe to ingest. So, you can put them in food or in your water. I wasn't sure if I would even use them. However, I was pleasantly surprised and I am finding that I use them daily. I wanted to pass along to you the 3 that are my favorites:

Lemon Vitality Oil: Did you know it takes about 3,000 lemons to produce 2 lb. of lemon oil? Lemon essential oil is cold-pressed from the rinds of lemons, not the lemon fruit. The most nutritional part of the lemon is the rind. So, this is super concentrated.

* I use this in the morning for hot lemon water. A few drops is all it takes. A glass of warm lemon water, first thing in the morning, is just the thing to get your stomach and liver ready to work. Typically, nutritional experts want you to blend the rind of an entire lemon as well when making this magical water..which, no one does. So, the squeeze of lemon juice in your water is good but could be so much more of a nutritional powerhouse. If I bought one product, I would buy this oil.

* Also, good to add to veggie dishes.

* Add to homemade vinaigrettes.

Thieves Vitality Oil: Thieves is amazing for immune support! It's great to diffuse thieves in your home but its even more powerful to consume it. Here are a few ways that Thieves can be ingested:

* Add a drop to homemade applesauce (recipe below)

* Add a drop to hot oatmeal

* Add a drop to tea or apple cider

* Add a drop to your homemade holiday fudge

Peppermint Vitality Oil: Peppermint oil is my favorite oil ever! I love rubbing it on my stomach or just smelling it when I am having a stomach issue. I also drink peppermint tea often AND a whiff of peppermint oil upon waking will give you the energy to get your day started. This is what I love the idea of using the oil internally as well. As a dietary supplement, Peppermint Vitality oil can support healthy gut function and digestive efficiency. These benefits make it a great way to start your day or end a meal.

* Add to water for an easy pick me up.

* Put in a smoothie for a fresh pepperminty flavor

* Add to your morning coffee

* Can substitute 1/8 tsp of peppermint Vitality for 1 tsp of peppermint extract in baking recipes
