I couldn't do a face mask post without a picture of Mommy Dearest:) When I have one of these masks on and I catch a glimpse of myself in the mirror I am always reminded of that image.
My 15 year old daughter has me obsessed with face masks. I did have criteria for the types of masks I wanted. They needed to be made with natural ingredients, couldn't be too drying, and had to help lighten my hyperpigmentation. I have found 4 that I love and want to share with you. All of them can be bought on amazon.

1. Teami Detox Face Mask: I know I have written about this one before but it's so good! Made with matcha, lemongrass, and clay this mask is amazing at pulling toxins out for glowing, acne free skin.
It also smells great. Goes on smooth and wipes off easy. When I wear it I can't tell if I look more like the Wicked Witch from Wizard of Oz or Princess Fiona from Shrek.
2. Chic Republic Detox with Activated Charcoal Pore Minimizing Face Mask: Now that's a mouthful! This mask helps to remove oil and other impurities from the skin. It also gives the skin a boost of vitamins and antioxidants. Being a graphic designer I love the color of it.
3. Minimo Glow Tumeric Skin Brightening Facial Scrub: So, technically, not a mask, but instructions say you can leave it on for 10 minutes. Tumeric is supposed to be amazing for brightening brown spots and I'd rather not make my own tumeric concoction, so I tried this. It has some grit to it as well so there's a nice exfoliation that goes on as well. It also smells so good, the scent is citrus peach.
4. Shea Moisture Youth Infusing Mud Mask: This mask is more of an anti aging mask. Kukui Nut Oil and Grapeseed Oil deliver Vitamins A, C, D, E and beta-carotene, plus antioxidants that minimize the signs of damage and protect from free radicals. Olive Leaf Extract and Avocado deeply moisturize and fortify skin with proteins and essential nutrients for a more youthful appearance.
