Surprise! I talk about other topics, beyond food. Remember my view of health is body, mind, AND soul:)
I held Part #1 of my ancestry class last night. I hope everyone who came got as much out of it as I did planning it. Our ancestors sure blaze a path for us, don't they? When we delve into our own personal histories we can learn so much. I think of all my ancestors who took the chance at a new life. Leaving behind entire families to come to America. The fact that their energy and blood still runs through my veins is very humbling and inspiring.
Our DNA passes down many traits: eye and hair color, height, etc. Our parents pass on behavioral patterns (food habits, your reactions to others), personality types, etc. The amazing thing that science is now discovering is that trauma and dysfunction can also be passed down. This is called epigenetic or inherited trauma. What some don't realize, though, is that they are the generational pattern shifters in their families. Those that feel this traumatic energy of their ancestors at a soul level and feel compelled to change it. If you think you might be a generational pattern shifter check out the link below for more information:

It's also helpful to remember that people only do what they know. So, be forgiving of those in your life that haven't been able to shift out of some of these patterns. Everyone can only do the best they can.
Part 2 will be held on April 18. We will talk about writing Ethical Wills. An ethical will, or legacy letter, is a way to share your values, blessings, life’s lessons, hopes and dreams for the future, love, and forgiveness with your family, friends, and community. See Upcoming Events for details. If you missed Part 1 and want to organize your own class, see the Chat & Chew tab under Special Offerings.
A final word about our ancestors. To quote Albert Einstein, "Energy cannot be created or destroyed, it can only be changed." Bodies are made up on matter and energy. Just because your loved one's vessel (the body) is not here anymore doesn't mean that their energy still doesn't reside within you. Physicist, Anthony Freeman, says it best, "According to the law of the conservation of energy, not a bit of you is gone; you’re just less orderly." You ancestors energetic imprint is all around you. They haven't left you.....they've just changed forms.
